Obituary of Elaine Mary Montgomery

Elaine Mary MONTGOMERY (nee Walker) On Monday, July 20, 2015, following a brave and lengthy battle with cancer, Elaine passed away peacefully and surrounded by family. She was a beautiful person with a kind, warm and gentle spirit who touched the lives of so many people. Elaine was the much loved wife of Bob (56 years on Saturday), treasured mom of Christine and Cathy and open-armed "MIL" to sons-in-law Peter and Ramsay, adored Nonna of James, Laura, Michael, Adam and Vanessa, cherished daughter of Mary Walker (and her father, the late Roy Walker), precious sister of Susan Kimberley, special auntie of Nicole (Vedesh) and grandniece Anjali, dear sister-in-law of Betty and Sheila (John), fond aunt of Ruth, David and Andrew, as well as a blessing to many extended family and friends in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Visitation on Friday, July 24, 6pm – 9pm, and Saturday, July 25, 2pm – 3pm. Service on Saturday, July 25 at 3pm with Reception to follow, at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto. The family would like to thank the medical and nursing staff of Princess Margaret Hospital and Toronto General Hospital and in particular the staff of 14 Eaton Wing, TGH, who were so compassionate during her stay and her final days. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations can be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation.
