Obituary of Jocelyn 'Joyce' Stibbard

Peacefully, at Revera Leaside Retirement Home, on January 1, 2015 at the age of 95. Devoted wife of the late Russell (2008) and cherished mother of Sharon, Linda, Kim, Robin and her husband, Don Richardson, and the late Dennis (1988). An inspirational Nan to Chris Wilton and his partner, Yolie, Peter and Laurie Stibbard, Heather Stibbard, and Karen and Erich Feibel, and Great-Grandmother to Melanie, Sarah and Harley Stibbard and Olivia and Jack Feibel. Dear aunt to Barry Stibbard. Life-long friend of Grace Fullerton. Forever young, Joyce will be remembered for her strength, her creativity, her wicked sense of humour, her generosity and her genuine love of people. Joyce lived a full life in gratitude. A huge hole in our lives is filled with wonderful memories of a woman who was an exemplary mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and mentor. Our heart-felt thanks to the staff at Revera Leaside and Dr. Sonia Kurtz for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East. Visitation is from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Service is on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ogden Chapel, followed by reception, prior to burial at Park Lawn Cemetery.
