Obituary of Gino 'Fred' Facca

GINO ALFREDO (FRED) FACCA Peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 15, 2014, with family by his side, following a year long battle with cancer. Fred was born April 25, 1936 in Michel-Natal, British Columbia to Giuseppe and Argentina (nee Grando, Morass) Facca, both of whom emigrated from Italy. Loving spouse to Pamela and father to Anna (Greg Capatch), Amanda (Adam Ostrow) and Greg Brown. Popi to Aaron, Makenna, Kailee and Teagen. Brother to Paulina (Jack DeLuca), Carolina (Peter Letasy, deceased), the late Yola (Johnny Gawreletz). Brother-in- law to Sandy (Fern Homen), Cameron (Diana Dickson) and Robert Dickson. Fred will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, neighbours and colleagues. Fred worked for Imperial Oil Limited and in later years at Exxon. He volunteered with Toronto Crime Stoppers, Camp Quality Canada and The Learning Partnership. Fred has been a longtime active member of the Don Mills Tennis Club and an active participant in Saint Bartholomew Parish in Scarborough, Ontario. Friends will be received at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue (east of Kennedy Road), on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday 10:30 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church. Interment Christ the King Cemetery.
