CHIN, Phyllis (Yap Bik Yun) - On Thursday, July 10, 2014, Phyllis Chin passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 100 at Scarborough Grace Hospital. Beloved wife of Chin Hock Henn, dearest mother of Lily, Cynthia, Shirley, Clifton, Daphne and Milton; she is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family. She was born in 1914 in Tamsui, Guangdong, China and was a successful businesswoman in Jamaica for over 40 years. She immigrated to Canada in 1971. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 14th from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough. A Memorial Service will be on Tuesday, July 15th at 1:00 p.m. at Ogden Funeral Home.
