Obituary of Arthur Adams

ADAMS, Arthur Frederick - Peacefully on June 6, 2014 in his 95th year after a brief illness, Arthur Frederick Adams, CPA, CA, Flt. Lt. RCAF in WWII, retired partner of BDO Dunwoody Chartered Accountants. Survived by Fern, his loving wife of almost 66 years. Proud father of John (Caroline) and Michael (Susan). Adoring Papa of Taylor, Jeffrey, Michelle and Robert. Dear brother of Hilda Bromley (the late Arthur). Predeceased by his sister Doris McKee (the late Clare). Missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Art had a wonderful life, serving his country as a bomber pilot in WWII, returning to pursue his studies to become a Chartered Accountant and marrying Fern in 1948. He was a true gentleman with a great sense of humour who had a kind word for everyone. More than anything, Art enjoyed spending time with his family at their cottage on Lake Simcoe. Visitation will be held at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Agincourt, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 4156 Sheppard Ave. E., Agincourt, on Saturday at 11 a.m. with visitation at the church from 10 - 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
