Oshya Avory Chandler
August 4, 1975 – March 7, 2014
Our beloved Oshya, age 38, passed away peacefully at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, on March 7, 2014, with family members and close friends at his side. He is survived by parents Everyl Chandler (Waldron) and Derek Chandler.
Graduated from Victoria Park Secondary School. Worked in the Retail, Manufacturing, and Construction industries. An avid soccer player with the Wexford Soccer Club from age 8 to 17, he played in Canada, the U.S.A. and internationally.
Oshya is survived by his parents, wife Laurie (Hermiston), step-daughter Nina, sister Michelle, and brother Ato, father-in-law Barry Hermiston, and mother-in-law Carol Hermiston. He is also survived by uncles Lugard, Reggie, Ricky (Ingrid), Andrew (Joan), Kenrick (Terrie), and Neil; Aunts Jeanette (Inniss), Lynette, and Ingrid Rose (Ted); Great-Aunt Enid Waldron; several cousins and extended family.
