It is with great sadness that John Barr and Glenn Barr announce the passing of Marlene Jean (Bryant) Barr … Beloved Wife & Mom, Sister, “Mawsy” & “Grandma”, and “Mother” to MANY… Marlene, in this her 74th year, passed away suddenly and peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Marlene was born on June 13, 1940, in Toronto, ON. Marlene had an incredible life, and her endless “Heart-of-Gold” has touched the lives of her Family, Extended Family, and many Friends in countless ways. She leaves us with never-ending rich memories, strength and inspiration. Marlene will be dearly missed. Marlene was predeceased in 1994 by her Father, Jack (a.k.a. John or Pat), and in 2013 by her Mother, Emily. Marlene is survived by her Husband, John Barr of Burlington; her Son, Glenn Barr of Oakville; her Brother, Jack Bryant and Wife Barbara of Scarborough; and, her Bother-in-Law, David Barr of Newcastle. ALL Family and Friends are invited to honour Marlene’s Memory at a “Celebration of Life” Gathering on Sunday, December 15, 2013, 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto, ON M1S 1T3, (416) 293-5211 (north side of Sheppard, between Kennedy Road and Midland Avenue). A PRIVATE Burial Service will have already been held on Friday, December 13, 2013. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada - Halton Regional Chapter (info.halton@mssociety.ca), or honour the charity of your choice, in Marlene's Memory.
