REV. JUNE ROSAMUN BABB FARKAS 76, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2013 at Scarborough General Hospital in Ontario, Canada. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Balazs Farkas; her children and grandchildren: Wendy, Rick, Joshua, Jessica and Ethan Mootoo; Michael, Lee, Nikki and Samantha Farkas; Elizabeth and Angela Ferri. June was born on June 27, 1937 in Guyana, South America to Albert Babb and Lydia Gilkes Babb. After co-founding a Pentecostal Assembly of God church with her mother (father then deceased) in Essequibo, Guyana, June migrated to Canada in June 1961 as a landed immigrant and shortly after married Balazs Farkas in Toronto, Ontario on October 27, 1962. Together for 37 years June and Balazs co-founded and pastored Grace Tabernacle Church (PHCC) in Toronto, raised 3 children and worked for the Federal Government as a Financial Analyst. She completed 31 years of service and received a commendation letter from the Prime Minister of Canada. June also received her Minister's License in September 1975 after completing Bible College. There will be a Viewing at Grace Tabernacle Church, 22 Glen Park Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Friday, December 13, 2013 (5:00 - 8:00 p.m.). The Funeral Service celebrating her life will be at Revivaltime Tabernacle, 4340 Dufferin Street, North York, Ontario, Saturday, December 14, 2013 (Viewing at 9:00 a.m. Service to follow at 10:00 a.m.). Interment at Pine Hills Cemetery - Committal by Bishop Dr. Gordon MacDonald (PHCC). June will be remembered as a diligent, vibrant and loving woman who loved God, His Word, her family, her country. Her life was an example to all she encountered and we will remember her with great love. She has fought the good fight; she has finished the race; she kept the faith. Now there is in store for her a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to her. Well done thou good and faithful servant! Forever in our hearts.
