DAVIS, Harold Gilbert - Veteran WWII R.C.C.S., Member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 614 Scarborough, Member of Parkway Bible Church. Passed away peacefully into the presence of our Lord on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Scarborough Hospital, Birchmount Campus, formerly Scarborough Grace Hospital, in his 91st year. Harold, husband of the late Gwendolyn Isabel Jacqueline Davis (nee Crowley), (June 2004). Loving father of Debra Lynne (nee Davis) and her husband Thomas Allen and John Craig Davis. Cherished grandfather of Angela May (nee Allen) and her husband Carl DeVries. Dearly loved brother of Nora Nelson and Alma Sparks. Predeceased by his parents Alfred (1929) and Lilian Davis (1970) and by his sisters and brother, Hazel Ord (1980), Donald A. Davis (1987), Evelyn O'Connor (2010) and Ida Wallace (2011). Missed by sister-in- law and brother-in-law Pauline and Douglas Robinson. Predeceased by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Fran Davis, Herb Nelson, George Wallace, Walter Ord, Jack O'Connor, Sid Sparks, Harry and Mildred Ludlow, David Ongley, B.A., LLB, QC and Joan Brown-Ongley and Barbara Crowley. Harold will be remembered fondly by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-grand-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Our family wishes to send a special heartfelt Thank you to his doctors, PSWs Lou and Alvin as well as the care team at Scarborough Hospital - Birchmount campus. Friends may visit at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough (East of Kennedy Rd.) on Saturday, November 2nd and Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Poppy Service to be held at Parkway Bible Church, 77 Ivordale Cres. (Victoria Park and Ellesmere Rd.) at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013. Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m. at Parkway Bible Church. Interment at Pine Hills Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Parkway Bible Church, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 614 (Poppy Trust Fund), The Lung Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation. Motto of R.C.C.S.
