BRYDON, E. Elise (nee Lauder)
After a brief illness on Tuesday, October, 15, 2013 in her 102nd year at Shepherd Lodge. Loving wife of the late William J. Brydon (1971) and dear mother of Peter (Wendy Peebles) and Bruce (Catherine). Devoted Nana to Robbie, Meredith, and Dale (Sarah Baxter). Predeceased by her siblings Christine, Robert, Marie, Allan, Douglas and Jean Lauder. Elise enjoyed her role as the fifth of seven children and her family always came first. An elementary school teacher and guidance counsellor in Scarborough, Elise took pleasure in travel with family and friends in her retirement. Summers at her cottage on Bass Lake, Muskoka and winter holidays on Sanibel Island, FL were annual highlights. She will be missed by her many friends at Knox United Church in Agincourt, where she taught Sunday School and belonged to the United Church Women. Visitors may call at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue E., Scarborough, on Sunday, October 20th between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services Monday, October 21st at Knox United Church, 2569 Midland Ave., Scarborough, at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to Bellwoods Centres for Community Living, 789 Don Mills Rd., Suite 701, Toronto, ON M3C 1T5
