MARKS, Edward "Ted" Joseph - Suddenly, at home on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the age of 86, after a period of declining health. Dear and devoted son of the late Edward William and Winifred Marks. Beloved husband of Hazel Marks (nee Waddington). Step-father of Elaine Harvey (Brant Purdy), Karen Eaton and Gail MACLennan (Al Axworthy). Loving grandfather of James Eaton (Michelle Springer) and great-grandfather "Papa" to Rowan Eaton. Ted was a 44 year employee of Canada Packers in Toronto. His interests included photography, audio recording and listening to his favourite music. He especially enjoyed times throughout his life at the cottage on Balsam Lake and those lively family parties with the Waddington clan. Ted loved telling stories about days gone by that reflected the principled character of his father, the musical talent of his mother and the antics of his co-workers such as those affectionately known as the Gas House Gang. Friends and family may call at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E. (east of Kennedy), 416-293-5211, on Monday, August 12th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m. in Ogden Funeral Home Chapel. Private interment to follow at a later time. If desired, memorial donations may be directed to the Salvation Army or The Speech & Stuttering Institute.
