McCABE, Dorothy Mabel (Evanoff) - On July 22, 2013, peacefully at Providence Healthcare, Scarborough. Born in Toronto, Ontario March 27, 1923, Dorothy was the beloved wife of Bernard (Barney) McCabe (died 2007) for more than 60 years. Loving mother of Judy (David Whitfield) of Toronto, Peter (Cathie) of Mississauga, Janice (Martin O'Brien) of Moonstone, and Paul (Donalda) of Mississauga. Proud and much-loved grandmother of Katy, Emma (Remi), Jenny (Jeremy Miller), Megan (Jamie), Luke (Dianne), Ben, Owen (Adrienne) and Scott. Survived by her sister Gladys (Bill Erz), brother Albert Evanoff, (Scarborough) and sister-in-law Doris McCabe (Chicago). Dorothy will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family, as well as special neighbours, friends and caregivers whom she loved dearly. Visitation at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough, ON M1S 1T3 (between Kennedy Road and Midland Avenue) on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Wexford Presbyterian Church, 7 Elinor Avenue, M1R 3H1 (at Lawrence Avenue East, between Pharmacy Avenue and Warden Avenue), Interment to follow in Cartwright Union Cemetery, Nestleton, Ontario.
