My Dear Wimales Akka, Nalayini, Thaya and Dev , Its with profound sadness we learnt on Wednesday morning that our much loved cousin is no more. When I spoke to Gnana Anna on Tuesday he told me that Gunam Anna was improving and this news came as a rude shock to us and has left us shattered. I remember with fondness the days we spent at Periappa and Periaunty’s place at No 4 Old Park Road during my early days at St John’s College. I remember vividly the prayer meetings in their house which were held every night. We came in close contact with him there. Also he used to be a regular visitor to our family home at 4th Cross Street. He was an unassuming person with simple tastes in life. He was a real family man who kept in close contact with all his relatives. Even when I used to call him at the Nursing Home, in spite of his sickness, he was always concerned about my children and inquired after them. His was a life well lived and we are truly blessed and thank God for giving us a cousin like him. Though we are far away our thoughts are with you all. We grieve with you all in this loss and may God give you all the strength and courage during this period. Jesus said unto her,” I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” John 11:25 Mano and Ranjini
