WASYL \"BILL\" HNATIUK March 20, 1924 - April 9, 2013 Born in Ukraine in the village of Kostilnyky (Buchach, Ternopil Region) to Tanas and Anna Hnatiuk. Married in 1951 and immigrated to Canada in 1954. He was a proud Ukrainian Canadian who supported local community initiatives and actively participated in the life of his parish. Survived by wife Evelyn (nee Ross), sister Katerina and extended family in Ukraine, daughter Evanna Luchka (late Rev. Fr. Michael Luchka), son Michael Hnatiuk (Tina), grandchildren Michael, Larysa (Andrij Sereda), Giancarlo, Paul and Alexandra, and great- grandchildren Jacob, Zachary, and Tyler. Will be deeply missed by family and friends. Donations will be graciously accepted by the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Visitation at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East (East of Kennedy Road), Scarborough, Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Panakhyda prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral prayers to be held on Friday, 11:30 a.m. at St. Volodymyr Chapel, Oakville, followed by Interment in St. Volodymyr Cemetery.
