BONIS, Sylvia Dawn - March 3, 1944 - April 7, 2013 It is with heavy hearts that we as a family mourn the sudden death of a kind soul. Dear friend and life long companion to John Butler. Little sister to David Bonis (Norma) of Dorchester, ON, Peter Bonis (Doreen) of Lindsay, ON, Ruth Spink of West Hill, ON. Predeceased by her parents Reverend Robert R. Bonis and Winifred Bonis, and her dear sister Peggy Gillespie. She will be remembered fondly as a giving aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Syl taught for twenty nine years in the Toronto area. She enjoyed sewing, making teddy bears, gardening and caring for her two precious cats, Becky and George. She has left her mark on the world with her gentle caring ways. Family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E. (east of Kennedy Rd.), on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Timothy's Anglican Church, 4125 Sheppard Ave. E. (east of Kennedy Rd.), on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. .
