DAVIDSON, Albert (Al) - 1926 - 2012 Unexpectedly at his home in Scarborough on December 21, 2012. Husband of Marie (Ria) Suzette Gimbel (deceased) of Amsterdam, Holland. Survived and loved by their 4 children and 10 grandchildren: Ronald (Marie) (Colin and Liam); Madeleine (Stephen Marshall) (Sondrine and Eric); Gary (Karl, Shanna, William); Robert (Alwynne) (Russell, Simon, Alistair) . Al was the youngest of a family of six and is predeceased by his 5 sisters: Mabel, Grace, Hilda, Florence and Winnifred. Fondly known as \"Big Al\" by his grandchildren, Al will be remembered by his sense of humour, his positive outlook on life and his very kind and generous nature. Al had enormous energy and just wanted to keep on dancing! The family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home (4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Scarborough) on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service in the Ogden chapel on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. Al looked forward to meeting again two other children taken from him and Ria prematurely in unfortunate accidents, Douglas in 1957 at age 7 and Edward in 1993 at age 32. May heaven's wind blow softly, o'er that sweet and hallowed spot, where the ones we loved lie sleeping, never to be forgot, at least until one by one we come together again, separated not . - Mizpah
