FRED IACOVONI
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fred Iacovoni, peacefully on Sunday March 17th, 2024, at the age of 92. Beloved and devoted husband of Mary Ann (nee Diasio) pre-deceased 2015. Cherished and loving father of Paul, Patricia (Bill), Joseph (Linda) and Angela (Matthew).
Proud grandfather of Christina (Ken), Lisa (Nick), Luke, Kailen (Dominque), Marina and great-grandfather of Liam, Grayson, Nash and Luna.
Fred, also known as Freddie, was an only child of Italian immigrants. Born in Toronto, his parents taught him the value of love, family, and hard work. This was evident in his devotion to Mary Ann and the raising of his children. He had a sense of humour that everybody loved and a generous kind heart that made everyone feel special. Freddie loved music, gardening, having his family around him and most of all, Mary’s cooking.
The visitation will be held on Sunday March 24th, 2024, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Ogden Funeral Home at 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Agincourt.
Funeral Service to be held on Monday March 25th, 2024, at 10:30am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 265 Alton Towers Circle. (South of Steeles Ave., and west of McCowan Rd.)
Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 305 Erskine Ave. (East of Mt. Pleasant Rd. and North of Eglinton Ave.)
