Obituary of Mr. Ron Tulk

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Ron Tulk on March 21, 2022.

Loving son of the late Mahala and Maxwell Tulk. Father to Sheila (Naresh), Russell, Ronnie (Debbie), Tammy (Joe) and his dogs Taffy (the love of his life) and Queenie. Devoted Grandpa to Shannon, Shawna, Sarah, Naval and Joey; Gramps to Josh and Grampy Grandpa to R.J (Goofy Newfie). Big brother to Allan, Wanda and the late Joseph, Russell, Pearl and Sandra. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Ron was born in Millertown, Newfoundland and although he moved to Toronto in 1954, he always considered Newfoundland home.

Ron enjoyed many outdoor activities; fly and ice fishing, hunting, camping and snowmobiling. His hobby was collecting model electric trains. He liked reading true crime novels, doing crossword puzzles, listening to country and newfie music, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved sports and watched the Leafs and Jays. He treasured his trips down home to visit his good friends Reg and Mary.

The family has lost its storyteller. We are grateful his grandchildren heard the stories of his fond memories of his childhood, his dating years with their grandmother, and his trips to God’s country. Campfires will never be the same. We are devastated by his loss but find comfort in knowing he has reunited with the loving family he has waiting to greet him.

Ron will be dearly missed by his family, many friends and neighbours.
