Obituary of Mr. Donald McNeil

Today we celebrate the life of Donald Lawrence McNeil. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Betty of 67 years, his children, and grandchildren. Born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, Lawrence will be best remembered for his incredible love of dance, passion for the Toronto Blue Jays, sense of humour, and love for his family. Lawrence served 45 years with the Canadian Military, a distinguished career that allowed his family to travel from the East to the West coasts. Although Lawrence travelled all over Canada, he was most at home in Nova Scotia, surrounded by his family and the salty sea air.

There will be no visitation; however, all are welcome to attend a funeral service located at St. Barnabas Parish Catholic Church on Saturday, March 26th, at 10:30 am. Followed by a celebration of life where all are welcome to pay respects, located at the Royal Oak Pub, 617 Victoria St. West, Unit 101, Whitby, ON, from 1:30 – 4:00 pm.
