Obituary of Mr. Patrick Yau 丘子平先生
Passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Toronto General Hospital.
Loving mother & father of Patrick, Rosa & Raymond Yau.
Dear sister of Patrick, Carmen Yau.
Will be sadly missed by family and many friends.
Patrick was born in Toronto East General Hospital on December 15, 1992, and raised in East York. Patrick attended Toronto Chinese (Community) Alliance Church, Scarborough Chinese Alliance Church – Yasad, Scarborough Chinese Baptist Church – WeeConnect, Earl Haig Jr Public School daycare, Duke of Connaught Public School, David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute, Lawson after school program, Dramaway, Special Olympic – Skating, Spring Board – SOAR program, Village of Eulogia.
Patrick loved being around people, travelling, dancing, drama and skating. He loved sharing & joking with lots of humour.
Patrick will be remembered for his humour & joyful attitude. His famous words “You’re fat” are known by many and meant you are my friend, and were said to surprise people into laughter.
Patrick will be laid to rest at Pine Hills Cemetery on Saturday February 5, 2022. The funeral service will be held in the Ogden Chapel on the same date. Due to the current restrictions in place, both the visitation and funeral service will be private.
The service will be livestreamed on the Ogden website.
