Mrs. Marguerita “Grit” Denny (née Rock), passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Toronto, Ontario, on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the tender age of 68.

 

Marguerita was born to parents Martin “Jim” Griffith and Joanna “Ermie” Rock on February 9, 1949, in Station Hill, St. Peter, Barbados.  She grew up in a large family being one of 12 children. In 1975, she married her long time sweetheart, Graham Denny. The couple have two daughters together, Julie-Anne and Shardé.  

 

Marguerita is survived by her husband, Graham Denny; her daughters, Julie-Anne & Shardé Denny; her grandson, Josiah Grey Denny; and her siblings, Anita, Joyce, Miranda, Yvonne and Anthony.

 

The family is grateful for your condolences, prayers and love. Donations in Marguerita’s honour can be made to Diabetes Canada. Flowers for the visitation and/or funeral can be sent directly to the funeral home, flowers for the family can be sent to the family home (please contact the family directly for information).
