Obituary of Mrs. Mary Elsa Tubridy

TUBRIDY, Mary Elsa Elsa passed away at the age of 86 on January 21, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario, following a brief illness. She was surrounded by her three children leading up to her passing. Elsa is survived by her husband William Tubridy and their three children Michael (Laura), Maura and Paula (William Strean). She was the much-loved grandmother, fondly known as "Grammy", to Kathryn and Anna Pakenham, Andrew Strean and Julia and Colin Tubridy. Born in London, Ontario, in 1931, Elsa was the youngest of three children. She was predeceased in death by her parents Ernst and Geraldine and siblings Paul and Fritz. She is survived by many nieces and nephews who remember her fondly. Elsa and her husband "Bill" built a life together in Toronto, Ontario, where Elsa actively participated at Annunciation Church, singing in the choir for over 25 years. She loved spending time with her many friends. Elsa enjoyed hearing about her grandchildren's activities and accomplishments and visiting with them. Friends are invited to celebrate Elsa's life and share some memories at the visitation at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.), on Wednesday, January 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 3 Combermere Dr., Toronto, on Thursday at 10 a.m. Cremation.
