Obituary of Mr. Charles Pearson

Please share a memory of Mr. Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles Ambrose Pearson. Charles recently celebrated his 89th Birthday on December 2nd, 2017 and was excited about entering his 90th year. However, having battled Alzheimer’s for over a decade, Charles suffered a series of unexpected strokes and finally passed quietly in the early morning hours of December 30th, 2017.

A man of integrity, Charles was an inspiration to all and admired by family, friends and co-workers alike.  Charles (or Charlie as he was known to friends) was an unforgettable man - his vitality for experiencing life was evident  within mere moments of meeting him, a sentiment echoed by anyone who had the pleasure of his company. Charles thrived in sharing with others, whether it be a game of chess, billiards or guidance. He was a strong-willed man who not only persevered in the face of hardships but transcended them.

Charles was an innovator with an unparalleled zest for life, which is exemplified by his diverse accomplishments. He was a World class boxer, an avid fly-fisherman, an award-winning Architectural Designer, a proficient artist and master oil painter with numerous beautifully stunning works to his credit.  Charles believed in “leaving his mark on the world,” and those familiar with him do not doubt that he fulfilled this purpose.  Charles was also a dedicated Anglican and member of the church whose love for animals and nature was only surpassed by his love for family. Charles lived by the creed, “actions speak louder than words,” while he openly and regularly announced his love to his family, he truly embodied it in his actions.

Born on December 2nd, 1928 to Horace and Ethel Pearson, Charles was the second of five children and the eldest male.

Charles married his beloved wife Lois Meave Pearson on June 21st, 1958 who he reunites with in heaven along with his siblings Margery, Patricia, Pauline, and Paul. Charles will be dearly missed by his son Gregory and daughter-in-law Vicki, his daughter Cynthia, son Jeffrey and his daughter-in-law Patricia.

Treasured by those he lovingly referred to as “his future,” his grandchildren Richard, Jason, Blake, Holly, Amy, Samantha, Jenna and Shaelin, and his great-grandchildren Lilly, Abigail, Hunter, and Madison.

Admired Uncle to Eddie(D), David(D), Stephen, Gregory, Philip (D), Brian, Andrew, Monica(D), Teresa, Norman, Karen, David, Larry, and Daphnie, as well as in-laws Kerry (D),  Robin, and Garth.
