Obituary of Mr. Danilo Galicia

Danilo "Danny" Masangcay Galicia, a devoted husband, loving father, and respected dentist, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in Pickering, Ontario, Canada at the age of 70.

Born on September 25, 1955 in Calagonsao, Alcantara, Romblon in the Philippines, Danny was the eldest of six children born to Silvestre Sadiasa Galicia Sr. and Florentina Masangcay Galicia. He also has three half-brothers and three half-sisters on his father's side. He dedicated himself early to his education, attending Calagonsao Elementary School in his elementary school years, going to Concepcion Norte in San Agustin, Romblon for his first year in high school, then completing his high school years at Ibajay Academy in Ibajay, Aklan.

Danny's pursuit of knowledge led him to Manila, where he first earned a degree in Medical Technology from De Ocampo Memorial College in Sta. Mesa, Manila. Driven by his desire to serve his community, he furthered his studies, earning a second degree in Dentistry from Lyceum Northwestern University in Dagupan, Pangasinan. He later established a distinguished career as a dentist and built a cherished life for his family in Pickering, Ontario, Canada.

He was known for his love for serving the community he belonged to wherever he was. He was a passionate and dedicated member of Lions Club International, proudly serving as a Past Region Chair for the organization.

Danny is survived by his beloved wife, Rowena Agustin Galicia, and his two cherished sons, Rylan (14) and Owen (12). He also leaves his five siblings in the Phillipines.
