Obituary of Mrs. Evangelia Kolokithas

It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Evangelia Kolokithas, who passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025.

Born in Sparti, Greece on December 5, 1927, she immigrated to Canada in 1958 with her husband Apostolos (Paul) and their daughter Toula.

After working in various jobs, she and her husband bought Deer Park Shoe Repair and worked side by side for over 20 years.

In retirement they spent many months every year in Greece reconnecting with family and friends.

Evangelia was predeceased by her husband Paul.

She is survived by her daughter Toula, son-in-law George Tzaneteas and the two most loved and cherished people in her life, her grandsons Elliott and Paul (Diana).

Prior to her passing she was so excited and was looking forward to becoming a first time great grandmother.

Visitation will be held on Saturday October 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 3840 Finch Ave. East, Scarborough with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
