Obituary of Mrs. Daphne Mary Carty

It is with deep love and gratitude that we announce the passing of Daphne Mary Carty, who left us peacefully on September 16, 2025, at the remarkable age of 101. Born on August 13, 1924, Daphne lived a long, full life centered around family, resilience, and kindness.

Daphne was the devoted wife of the late John (Jack) Carty, with whom she built a strong and loving home. Together, they raised eight children. She is predeceased by her beloved children Michael, Bob, and Katherine, and lovingly remembered by her surviving children: Ken (DeDe), Janice (Bob), Cheryl, Ed (Sharon), and Brian (Lynda).

Her legacy continues through her 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, each of whom carry forward her strength, humor, and warmth.

Daphne was also a cherished sister to Fred, Victor, Norm, Mabel, Jim and Kathleen, all of whom held special places in her heart.

Family was always at the center of Daphne’s life. Her door and her heart were always open—whether for Sunday dinners, quiet talks, or the laughter of children filling her home. She faced loss with courage and lived her days with generosity and grace, inspiring all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

A service to honor Daphne’s life will be held on October 24, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., where her family and loved ones will gather to celebrate her extraordinary journey and the love she shared so freely.
