March 22, 2025, Dear Uncle Anesta:
I thanked Judy and Danny for helping me to reach out to our former Via Rail colleagues to invite them to this celebration of a life very well and very long lived.
You have been a mentor - at work, in our family, and in my life. We are all of course terribly crushed by your passing; such a dignified, responsible, bright, sweet, jovial and handsome Uncle Anesta next to your beautiful, caring, smart queen Aunt Annette!!
The entire Huggins Liddie Leader and extended family are so incredibly in awe of your dedication to us. For example, through your co-hosting at home and co-organizing our annual family picnics at Milliken Park, you were singularly determined that we would not all gather only for joyous weddings and difficult funerals like yours.
With every interaction you have been a constantly loyal and valued reminder of your brother John, my Dad, since he passed Christmas Day 2021. Every story of the two of you that you told me was as clear as if it had happened only yesterday. These recollections enshrined you as the vessel of truly significant memories of dear family and friends.
Remember Uncle Anesta, at your sister-in-law, my mother Yvonne's funeral in 2015, that besides my son Atiba it was you who physically held me up. The poem "Death is Nothing at All" by Henry Scott Holland, was read at her memorial and was as special to our family then as it is now at your service.
Uncle Anesta, Adonis, Arleen, Alison and I, and our families, will forever hold you in our hearts and minds. Love, Adonica

With love and appreciation for all the kindness Mr Huggins showed me during my numerous visits to Canada. He will be remembered as a courteous, cheerful, hospitable gentleman, always elegant, ever punctual for every appointment. Mr Huggins, rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord Jesus.

Aunt Annette we are so glad that we had Uncle Anesta for so long.
I will always remember him when smiling and challenging Dad in their many, many debates. He was a wonderful brother and best friend, and you a wonderful sister, to my Dad until his passing. I hope he and Uncle Anesta will be together again in Heaven under God’s watchful eye ( he will need to mediate their debates).

Mr.Huggins has been a long time family friend of our family.
We met in the early 1970's where he was the supervisor to my husband at the railroad who took my husband under his supervision and carefully coached him with his expertise on all aspects of his duties at the railroad.
We respect his kindness and soft spoken mannerisms and his approach when dealing with persons.
He has been a very motivational person and someone who was easy to talk to whenever the need arises and always willing to assist others.
We are grateful and give thanks for his longevity.
We will miss him.
Our regards to his surviving siblings and his family member and children.
Rest easy my friend and fly high until we meet again.
