To Donna's family, my sincere condolences for your profound loss. Donna was such a light to be around. Her infectious laugh was contagious, and I will miss her tremendously. I feel so lucky to have spent the past 15+ years laughing with her. Even though I was one of her housekeepers, she treated me like a daughter. I had my first baby a few months ago, and Donna made sure I knew how awesome it is to raise boys. Rest in Peace, Donna. I will miss you.

To Craig, Scott & families,
My deepest sympathy to you and your families.
Donna was my amazing friend for over sixty years. We had so many adventures together. We met at work, became friends and went on several vacations. We both married and then were busy with our young families but still kept in touch. After we both lost our husbands we connected again and went on many trips together - a Tour of Europe with two other friends and then a Rhine river cruise. Donna was always adventurous so we went to Morocco, China, Dubai, Japan, Australia. We made so many wonderful memories.
Donna fought the cancer with everything she had but it was relentless. I hated that she had to endure the pain.
Donna was the best friend a person could possibly have - always happy, lots of fun, kind, very generous. Donna, I am going to miss you so much. Rest in Peace my friend, Marian Kramer

My deepest condolences for your loss.
It was a beautiful summer evening on our first night in Rome, Italy. Donna and l were on a bus tour and our tour guide, Francesca, decided to show us her favourite lookout point to see this spectacular city. The bus driver stopped in front of this majestic, bigger than life, ancient building and he told us to be quick as this was not a parking area. We all moved swiftly and closely together to climb these monstrous steps and weaved in and out of the brilliantly lit pillars until we reached the lookout landing. I turn to speak to Donna and she is nowhere to be found. In a panic I tell Francesca and what ensues is a search party. I reach a massive courtyard level that is full of hundreds of people and l start calling her name. No answer so l weave through the Italian crowd and find this designer fashion show, complete with models, lights, music and film cameras and reporters and there is Donna, completely mesmerized and in her glory. She remembered this as one of her favourite event. Donna loved travel and fashion and she lived her life to the fullest. I will miss her kind heart and her vivacious, fun and classy demeanour and l feel blessed to have her as my friend.

You were the grandparent that we all aspire to be, always laughing, having fun and making light of every situation. You made everyone feel like family. The Mitchell family will think of you every Christmas when you visited us in Whistler, you were a big part of the joy we all shared - up for anything and everything.

I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know your mom, Grandma Duck, during her visits to Whistler, and I will forever remember her laughter and sense of humour.
Every year I looked forward to her attending the ladies annual holiday soirée. I loved have a glass of wine or two with her. She will be missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Q: How did you meet Mrs. Donna?
A: So sad to hear this and many condolences to the family.
My husband and I met her years ago at the Scarborough Town Centre in the early 90’s. Always a nice person to talk to and gossip with about the Town Centre! She was a loving friend to Marlene and to her family as well. She will be missed.

My sincerest condolences . I had the pleasure of knowing Donna for the years we worked at Trilea Centres, on occasion I would see her at some colleague gatherings for dinner & wine , her sweet smile and contagious laughter always put a smile on my face. She was a most giving and nurturing woman , and I’m sorry that it’s been years since we last saw each other . Thank you Donna for your dedication especially at STC
