Obituary of Mr. Tarun Sankwalkar
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tarun Yeshu Sankwalkar on January 23, 2025, at the age of 66. Born in Mumbai on September 30, 1958, to Belmira Mendes and Andres Xisto Mendes, Tarun lived a life marked by devotion, talent, and an infectious zest for life.
A dedicated and skilled accountant, Tarun poured his energy and precision into his work, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was a man of many talents—a Jeopardy wizard with a quick wit, a smooth talker who could charm any room, and a spirited jiver who lit up every dance floor he stepped onto.
Tarun’s greatest gift was his ability to connect people, fostering relationships that spanned continents. A true connector, he kept his family, friends, and loved ones around the world close to his heart and united through his warmth, humor, and thoughtfulness. He cherished his family above all else and leaves behind his beloved wife, Bernadette, and his three children: Dylan, Ryan, and Malaika. His family was his pride and joy, and his legacy of love and togetherness will live on through them and the countless lives he touched.
A celebration of Tarun’s life will be held following the burial at Christ the King Cemetery at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories in honor of his remarkable journey.
Tarun will be remembered for his dedication, his brilliance, his ability to bring joy to those around him, and his unparalleled gift for connecting people. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, a Mass offering or a donation to the charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated.
