Patricia Martha Goyette, loving wife of Jacques Goyette and mother of Nicholas and Christopher Sue passed away at the age of 67 on Saturday, June 6 at 9:30 pm. Patricia (Martha) was born on December 30, 1952 in Surinam to Ilse and Albert Abdull. Patricia (Martha) attended and graduated from Bishop’s High School in Guyana before moving with her family to Canada. She attended Ryerson University where she graduated with a degree in Business Administration. She worked for IBM and Celestica for many years before retiring. Martha was passionate about life, people, family and her two grand-daughters, Rosa and Mila. She was a true believer of Christ and never hesitated to send up prayers for anyone who needed it. She was a compassionate person and worried about everyone and everything. If she could change the world by giving everyone what they truly needed then she would have done so. Patricia enjoyed life when she was not worrying about everyone and she had a wicked sense of humor that surprised everyone when they were on the receiving end. Patricia is preceded in death by her mother, Ilse and her father Albert. She is survived by her husband Jacques, her two children, Nicholas and Christopher, sisters Rose and Tessa, grandchildren Rosa and Mila her niece Rachel and several cousins. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at the Ogden Funeral Home located at 4161 Shepherd Avenue East, Scarborough. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Operation Smile Canada (OperationSmile.ca) A memorial service, celebrating the life of Patricia Martha Goyette will be held later for family and friends.
