Obituary of Mr. William F. Lutz

William F. Lutz (Bill) passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday June 4, 2018 at the age of 78.  Bill was born October 17, 1939 in Corregidor Island, Philippines.

Very much loved and will be missed by his devoted wife of 56 years Bien, children Nick (Makoto), Theresa (Paul), Gwen (Josef), John, and grandchildren, Colin, Mackenzie, Montana, Matthew, Nicholas, Anthony, Mia, and Jacob.

Bill led his life being guided by his “personal-theme” song My Way in which he's  “lived a life that’s full and has traveled each and every highway” with Bien and his family. His family’s journey began on their wedding day, December 31, 1962  and by the year 1969 the Lutz family grew to six. 1975 was a pivotal year in which Bill moved his family from the Philippines to Canada with hopes and dreams for a better life.  Canada has and continues to provide his children with the opportunity to prosper and grow.  Each of Bill and Bien’s children matured and blossomed in many ways unforeseen, blessing them with eight wholesome grandchildren - A Life Well Lived.

Bill had a successful career in the Oil and Gas industry, as a Vice President, Marketing at the Philippine National Oil Company (Filoil) in 1962– 1975. Then moved to Canada, where Bill was a Senior Financial Analyst at Texaco Canada/Esso Canada in 1975- 1992, subsequently a Vice President at MPSI in Singapore in 1992- 2002.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place on June 18, 2018 at 10:30am at St. Justin Martyr Church, 3898 Highway No. 7 East, Unionville, L3R 1L3

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in William Lutz's name to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
