Obituary of Mr. Leslie Francis Valladares

LESLIE F. VALLADARES ( “Les” )  January 20, 1955 – April 12, 2018.  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Leslie. After a bravely fought battle, he went to sleep in Christ, way too soon, but peacefully at the age of 63 years old at the Ajax Pickering Lakeridge Hospital with his beloved wife Carol at his side.  His firm belief in God and the consistent prays of family supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Carol and often spoke of his love for his children; Quinn, Taniya, Felicia and Dean and grandchildren Alexiah, Alanna and Jayden.  He will be greatly missed by his beloved brothers and sisters  – Derrick, Lennox, Winston, Horatio and Ricardo, Vashti, Vilma, Norma and Anne, his brother and sister-in laws, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Leslie was born in Vreed-en hoop, West Coast Demerra, Guyana, but grew up in Georgetown. He was the 10^th of 11 children born to Cecil and Stella Valladares and migrated to Toronto, Ontario Canada on November 16, 1974.

He joined UPS Corporation in 1996 and was a dedicated worker for 22 years where he made many friends.

He will be remembered, fondly for his love of family, his superstar smile, his fashionable dress, love of music and dance, his gregarious nature and his love for birds. 

His memory will go on and he will remain in our hearts forever.
